Justin James Pope Ph.D.
A city planner and historian, Dr. Pope brings his work experience in urban government to the practice of researching and writing history. He received his Ph.D. in history from the George Washington University in 2014. Before beginning his studies, he worked for the cities of Saint Petersburg, Florida, and Medford, Oregon, as an urban planner specializing in development review and serving as a liaison between the public and private sector. He now works full time as an American historian. He will begin a Postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University in the fall of 2014.
